Protect Meri Sakhi – Awareness Session | Adharshila School, Abohar At Adharshila School, Abohar, we believe that empowering young minds with the right knowledge is the first step towards building a safer future. Today, the girls of Classes VI to VIII participated in an inspiring and interactive “Protect Meri Sakhi” awareness session. We were honoured to welcome social worker Mr. Gagan Chugh and Ms. Sheenam Gilhotra, who guided our students on the importance of personal safety, self-awareness and making responsible decisions. The session focused on recognizing unsafe situations, setting personal boundaries, using social media responsibly and responding wisely with confidence and courage. Through relatable stories and real-life examples, the speakers encouraged the students to trust their instincts, speak up without fear and never hesitate to seek help when needed. Students also learned about the importance of staying connected with trusted adults and being aware of emergency helpline numbers such as 1098 for child assistance and 112 for emergency services. The interactive discussions, thoughtful questions and enthusiastic participation reflected the students’ eagerness to learn and grow. The session not only spread awareness but also inspired every girl to value her safety, believe in her strength, and make informed choices in everyday life. At Adharshila School, Abohar, we remain committed to creating a safe, supportive and empowering environment where every child feels confident, respected, and prepared to face the world with courage. Because awareness empowers, confidence protects, and knowledge builds a safer tomorrow.
